Speaker system
This set of bookshelf speakers is the result of my senior thesis in Integrative Design and Architecture. My goal in designing this system was to craft a one-of-a-kind device that delivers exceptional sound quality while also elevating the ambiance of any room it occupies.
Materials are versatile in form and style, as well as non-porous to maximize sound quality. Following a curved motif that was inspired by the gramophone, the resulting product is a funky, elegant, and powerful take on the traditional boxed speaker
inspired by the gramophone, this speaker pays homage to the rich history of sound design
Wood and concrete come together in perfect harmony to give birth to a resolute structure with the power to deliver rich and defined audio. As much as the captivating horn draws our attention, it is the inclusion of these carefully placed slits that allow the wood to gracefully mold into shape. Every element of the design has been meticulously crafted to ensure smooth connections and concealed joints. For convenience and peace of mind, the legs and tweeter horn can be effortlessly detached for secure transportation or swift replacement. Additionally, the magnetic facade of the wood facilitates effortless access during routine maintenance. To further enhance the experience, strategically positioned portholes have been placed next to the grill, enriching the sound quality and elevating the bass to new heights.
